Does it play music in-game?

I want to replace the game's music with my own, does HLDJ do that? Or does it just play stuff over microphone?

If it doesn't, how can I get my own music to play in HL2?

HLDJ only plays stuff over the mic. It's really easy to put your own music into the actual game though. I don't have HL2 installed currently, so I can't tell you the file path, but all you have to do is:

1) Find the particular music file you want to replace (somewhere in steam's program files)
2) Make a copy of it and put it somewhere safe (so you can always go back to it if you like)
3) Put your own music file in the same folder, and rename it the same as the one you want to replace

I may have got this wrong, since it's been ages since I've done it myself and I never did it for HL2, but that should be fairly close.
