HLDJ Does Not Work On HL2

Can Someone Help Me I Like To Go On HL2 And Listen To Some Songs but the mic button doesn't show it,
It doesn't play in any of the half life 2 games such as ep1 ep2 for deathmatch it does and portal it does somehow (not portal 2)
Can someone help me?
