If this happens try entering "1" to refresh the current folder. In some newer source games the wait command isn't executed properly and so the numbers get assigned before the actual folder change occurs.

ALL numbers don't work. so 1 too.
And it's not happen all the time. but really often.

you can also try "hldj_restart" to restart HLDJ from in-game

Half of the time this command lead to an hldj crash without a restart.
The only "fix" (if we can call that a fix) i found is putting all my sounds in my declared folder, so a very long and boring list
