Hi,
im using hldj for a few weeks now and now i want to make sprays, but i dont understand how it works.
Does anyone know how i can convert a jpg file to wav for hldj? I cant find anything on the web for it
also does anyone know how to change the cooldown time for using sprays in the game?

HLDJ loads sprays as .wad (not.wav), you can use any texture editor that can import images and export as .wad. I recommend "Wally's texture editor", it's an old wad texture editor from quake 2, but it works for half-life and any game that uses wad-based texture archives.
As for the cool down, I'm pretty sure it's fixed between sprays and spawns. Players can cleverly take advantage of the second case and constantly respawn-spray depending on the game, but it probably won't work for round-based games like CZ.

btw sorry for the late respons
EDIT: not working with hl tag converter and wally,
with wally i started a WAD merge, opend the wad file then saved ass and put in in the sound list and it doesnt show up in my la list
