HLDJ doesnt work anymore cos 2 accounts ?

Hello !

I've been using HLDJ for a long time now with the games Left 4 Dead 1 and 2.

Recently, I purchased a 2nd Steam account for my brother and bought him both L4D.


Problem is now, HLDJ doesnt work for those 2 games.

1) Does HLDJ launch the game correctly for you? Yes. For Both accounts.
2) Does "HLDJ Loaded Successfully" appear in console on starting the game (with no errors)? No. There is absolutely nothing.
3) What is the console output after selecting a song, or issuing other HLDJ commands such as "hldj_next"? All commands, la, hldj, hldj1, etc. "unknown command".


5) Does voice normally work for you? If not, or you do not have a mic, have you remembered to set up any applicable options in your operating system and/or the game? Yes. Micro works perfectly. May I add, HLDJ works for Portal 2 that only I own.



If i go in the game directory of L4D (that is the same, unchanged for the two accounts) I can see those files : hldj_about.cfg/ hldj_curaudio.cfg/ hldj_curdir.cfg/ hldj_help.cfg/ hldj_help1.cfg/hldj_help2.cfg/hldj_help3.cfg/ hldj_init.cfg/ hldj_listaudio.cfg/ hldj_nextaudio.cfg/ hldj_prevaudio.cfg/ hldj_quickselect.cfg/ hldj_randaudio.cfg/ hldj_saycuraudio.cfg/ hldj_sayteamcuraudio.cfg/ hldj_stop.cfg/ hldj_unquickselect.cfg/ hldj_custom.cfg

I tried to verify the game cache on both accounts, tried to delete and re-install HLDJ hoping it will ask me to choose which account use but nothing.

Steam creates a separate game directory for each account, you have to make sure you add and start the correct game directory for the account you want to use (running add all again will pick up any new game directories)

Whaaaat ? Yes, it did work. I ran again add all and now it works. Weird, because I already used the "add all" command when re-installing HLDJ, maybe I had to do it again after playing on the two accounts ?
