Bad quality sound

Post by Legendary »

Hey I'm new to the whole hldj thing but I have the program working and all but when I play a song it sounds really..scratchy. I've tried lowering the overall volume of the song cause I know CS:S isn't meant to have rock playing but even at low volume it isn't entirely great. If I bring the volume down some more It'll be too hard to even hear it. I tried playing around with Audacity but idk what i'm really doing. At the moment I'm trying to get "Blood Hound Gang - The Roof Is On Fire" to sound better but it's kind of not really working at all. If someone could help me fix the sound quality it'd be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

I went through all the tips and stuff but I just don't know how to really use any of it is there any way other than going through every setting to get what I want?

For most songs you generally shouldn't need to tweak it much if at all (i.e. see sample). There may be editors with presets for filtering and such, have a look around. The best way I know of is linked above.
