I Can't Launch The Game... (TF2)

While I'm sure the program works, I'm really struggling with getting it to work. The first issue I see is at setup. I've set the game directory and audio directory properly, but it recognizes TF2 to be an HL1 program rather than a Source engine program (which I believe it is). Secondly, I attempt to launch TF2 and I receive an error message which says: "Could not launch game application". Not very specific so I have no idea what to change in order to launch TF2. Lastly, when I manually launch TF2, the console doesn't recognize any of the HLDJ commands and the quick guide doesn't show up on start up. All help is appreciated.

All latter problems are related to the first; can you confirm that you're running the latest HLDJ version (either 1.4.5 or 1.4.7)?

I am certain that I am running HLDJ 1.4.7. Tomorrow I may try and download HLDJ over again and see if that resolves the issue. However,any help you can provide I appreciate.

The search criteria for Source games is any directory under "SteamApps" that contains: "gameinfo.txt", "resource\" and "cfg\". Any such directory will be flagged as a Source game. As far as I'm aware these should be present for TF2, but let me know if any are not.

Problem resolved. I had the wrong directory selected.

Try using "Add All", it will automatically find the correct directories for you.
