I have several sounds that I edited in audacity. They were all 22050 Hz. Using audacity, I made them all 11025 Hz and doubled their speed. This made them sound as if they were the normal file. However, in HLDJ, when the sounds load, they play the sound at 11025 HZ but at normal speed, making them simply 2x slower than the normal file. In other words, HLDJ recognizes the Hertz change, but not the change in speed. How do I fix this?
Note: in case it helps at all, I'm using TF2

Re: Sound Rate and Speed Problem
With Audacity, be sure to make the rate change in the "Project Rate" drop-down box, and not via the File menu (the difference is the former converts the file into the new rate, whereas the latter merely re-interprets it).

Re: Sound Rate and Speed Problem
I am using the drop down box on the audio clip itself, then going to Set Rate > 11025 Hz. Then, I highlight the entire clip, go to Effect > Change Speed and I set it to 100. This makes it sound normal. Then, I hit File > Export as WAV and save it. But no matter what I do, I cant get it to save with 16-bit sampling or 11025 Hz.
Re: Sound Rate and Speed Problem
That's nice. And what of the method I mentioned prior?
Re: Sound Rate and Speed Problem
Sorry, I didn't get a chance to post before. That was the method I was using before. It was not until yesterday that I saw the picture example, because before I thought there was no project rate box. I used your solution and now it works great! Thanks for the help, Renegade.
