Unable to add games (CS:S, Garrysmod)

Just recently HLDJ has removed all but TF2 from my games list, for no reason. When I go to add games back to the list, an error pops up saying (red text is my quotes):

One or more games failed to load due to the following reasons:
- one or more alias names or paths were invalid (All folders and games have letters and numbers only)
To remove those games unable to be loaded (what)
select OK from Setup, to keep them select Cancel

Setup only showed TF2 in my games list but I chose OK to remove them.
After, I tried to add Garrysmod back to the list and chose the correct path to do so, however it would not let me click OK. The only way to add the game is to select the cfg folder in the game folder (C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\williwa93\garrysmod\garrysmod\cfg), but it requires me to select GoldSrc, which garrysmod is obviously not.

I updated HLDJ but I still have the same issue.

HLDJ validates the game path based on 1) it actually exists 2) it contains the following game files: for Source games, a "cfg" dir and "gameinfo.txt"; for GoldSrc games, a "config.cfg".
If any game fails validation, HLDJ will not remove it just yet (but it does not display it) until you hit Ok from Setup.
Check your game directories and make sure they 1) exist and 2) contain the above files. As recommended in the Known Game Issues thread, you may need to start the game at least once which will likely generate the necessary files.

Also, yes, you do not want the 'cfg' folder because HLDJ will detect it as a Half-Life 1 game (it contains "config.cfg") and it will not work properly.
