Latest HLDJ problem

Post by shinkukage09 »

So, I've been using HLDJ for about a month now, and recently, I've come across an annoying problem that makes HLDJ nigh unusable. Whats strange is it only started happening AFTER the latest Valve server update. HLDJ, any of them, play the files too fast. Songs get sped up for...no reason. At first I thought it was the conversions, but...it's not, as the songs play by themselves just fine. It's not isolated to Team Fortress 2, either, which is what I normally use it for. I get the same problem with Alien Swarm, and Half-Life 2. I've tried using earlier versions of HLDJ, reconverting, changing the music directory, reinstalling the game, everything. Nothing fixes it.

So I don't really know what to do, or what caused this. Just that it's getting really annoying, and I'd like to get it working again ASAP. Help is needed ;_;

Please and thanks in advance.

It's not an HLDJ problem; test with the sample audio files and take a look at the stickies (especially the dual core fix).

Well, I tried a few of the sample audios, and they seemed to have worked fine. But I don't really see anything in any of the stickies about my problem. That is, I don't even really know what the problem is. Or why it happened. Or what caused it.

If it consistently happens with your files and not the sample files, then you know what the problem is and where to find the solution (in the sticky, under conversion tutorial).
