I'm completely lost...

Post by Wasteblade »

So I got HLDJ and got a bunch of sounds that I made sure were .wav files. First, I tried to open up HLDJ and click the sounds, but they weren't working at all. When I typed in the command to list all my songs and sounds, but it said that the file was over 1mb. I then tried to bind keys (I have a G11 keyboard with 54 key bind shortcuts). I tried to configure the cfg file, but I'm absolutely sure that I butchered the hell out of the coding. Could someone maybe post a screenshot of their custom cfg binds or help me understand the coding?

First of all, you should read the sticky when you need help. Second: I would recommend reinstalling HLDJ completely: starting from a fresh install is always easier. Third: http://hldj.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=878: handy keybinder. Not sure if you can get it to bind your extra keys, but it's always worth trying.

You can use the keybinder to bind the commands, and then use the software that comes with the g11 keyboard to emulate the keys you bound the command to. So I believe if you bind something to F1, for example, you can use the keyboard's software to set g1 to emulate f1. I don't have the keyboard but after a bit of searching that is what I have concluded.

Tried the keybinder, went through the stickies, but it still doesn't work. Even when use la in counsel and press the play button, it still does not work. Any other suggestions.
