When i start hldj it says i need to have the server on sv_cheats 1 why does it say that and how do i fix it

HLDJ doesn't cause this. It's likely some other setting in your config file. Also, It's not necessarily something that needs to be fixed, but if you think there is some problem copy-paste the console output here.

There's nothing there that's problematic other than that nothing there is related to HLDJ. "hldj_init.cfg" hasn't even been executed.
Which probably means you either haven't started HLDJ or you've started the wrong game.

Make sure your game directory is correct and that you've read this: http://hldj.org/manual/getting_started.html

If you're still having problems post your game directory and a screenshot of the contents of the "cfg" folder (located within the game directory) after starting HLDJ.
